It was towards the south of the Lake Husain Sagar that many of the government buildings and landmarks sprung up. The city witnessed tremendous amount of growth in infrastructure and that led to an increase in the population of the city. The geography of Hyderabad was also shaped by the progress of its neighboring places.

One of the neighboring cities which yielded some influence on matters related to Hyderabad’s geography was Secunderabad. Various nearby municipalities also had a say in the geography of Hyderabad.
